Who we are
The Princeton African Students Association is a non-exclusive society, open to people of all nationalities who are interested in the culture and affairs of Africa and its diaspora.
Objectives
a) To foster cultural and social ties with all peoples of African descent in and around the Princeton university community
b) To provide a forum for the discussion of issues and ideas pertaining to Africa and the African diaspora
c)To foster initiatives linking students to various organizations in Africa: public, private and academic with an eye for creating research, internship and fellowship opportunities.
d) To promote understanding, exchange, and cooperation between Akwaaba and other groups in and around the Princeton University community.
e) To work with the Princeton University Administration and the Program of African studies to promote Africa related issues.
f) To act as a community and support base for students of African descent and to serve as a resource or network for all people interested in Africa.
g) To encourage and support African students applying to Princeton University and to help incoming African students settle in the Princeton community.
